Senior Fellowship

Thanks to Almighty, we have a very active, dynamic and united Senior Fellowship. We have formal get-together once a month, usually the third Thursday of every month from 10 to 1. The program includes singing, Bible Reading, Prayer and devotion during the first half. Then we break for coffee and snacks. The second half usually is a feature presentation. The topics we covered this year include Retirement Planning, Medicare Options, Early Detection of Cancer and Aging Gracefully. In July we had a picnic and an Onam celebration this month. In October we will have a special Holy Communion service for seniors, especially for people who are unable to attend regular Sunday services. After the feature presentation, we enjoy the fellowship of eating and mingling together with a catered lunch. Our members take turns sponsoring the snacks and lunch. Every month we have new members joining us, so it is an ever-growing organization. Our last meeting was attended by approximately 100 seniors.

Anyone who is 60 or above is welcome to join this fellowship. Our Achens and families provide superb leadership to every meeting. All the seniors who attend our meetings enjoy the mutual collaboration and enriching fellowships. The diocese is beginning to organize a Midwest Regional Fellowship group as well.
